Parish Hall

The Parish Hall (Well Lane, Whiston, S60 4HX) is bookable for all different types of engagement. Many local community groups meet within the hall. The hall has two rooms, a large room which acts as a function room. This has an adjacent bar and alcove area ideal for setting up buffets, as well as a small stage for Dj's or bands. Additionally, the hall has a smaller room suitable for smaller gatherings or classes. The hall also has a large kitchen where food preparation for events can be undertaken.

When making an online booking, you are agreeing to accept the terms and conditions of hire set out in the Hire Agreement (set out below).

The hire rate is £25 per hour for the Main Hall (13.6m x 7.2m x 2.8m holds up to 100 people seated) or £20 per hour for the smaller Conference Hall (9.5m x 7m x 2.3m holds 30-40 seated) or £40 per hour for exclusive use (both Halls) and a refundable deposit of £100 is payable on booking which is refunded within 28 days of your event providing there are no damages/breakages.

and has to be paid at the time of booking by making a separate online bank transfer.

We also allow 30 minutes before and after your booking times for setting up/clearing away. We also have a bar facility available for hire at an additional fee of £25. All drinks are payable in cash or card to the bar steward on the day. Food catering can also be provided for your event, please advise if you would like a quotation and our caterer's can get in touch to discuss your particular requirements.

The hire fees for your party/event are due one month in advance and will be invoiced to you at the appropriate time. Please note the Bar facility is only available when booking the Main Hall.


Parish Hall Hire - Terms & Conditions

The hall fees are as follows:
Regular Users:

Main hall £15.00 per hour, Smaller hall £12 per hour (weekly/frequent classes)

Functions:

Main Hall £25.00 per hour
Bar Facility £25.00, then drinks payable by cash or card only on the day (available for Main Hall bookings only)
Smaller Conference Hall £20.00 per hour

Exclusive Use: £40 per hour

Refundable deposit £100, refunded within 28 days of your event, providing the following terms and conditions of hire are fully observed :-

Tables and chairs are available to use as part of the hire charge, as is the kitchen facility. All we ask is that you return them to the position you found them in, otherwise you will lose your deposit. Please stack tables (no more than 4 stacked together) and leave stored on the stage in the Main Hall (Main hall bookings only).

Please also note the circumstances in which your deposit will NOT be refunded, which are :-

a) In the event of damage to any part of the property, including the curtilage thereof or the contents of the building;

b) In the event of the Parish Hall requiring additional cleaning due to abuse of the premises during a function, or in the event of excessive amounts of litter or waste remaining. The Parish hall must be left clean for the next hirer.

c) In the event that used crockery or cutlery are left unwashed. A dishwasher is provided.

d) If the premises are not vacated on time.

e) If attendees at the event use a hall that has not been hired.

f) If display/decoration items or equipment are left behind upon vacating the hall. Items cannot be left in the building for collection the next day without prior arrangement.

g) Inconsiderate parking or blocking of the car park entrance or access through Well Lane including any restricted access for emergency vehicles as may be required

h) Any significant breach of these general terms and conditions of hire, at the Parish Clerk's discretion in consultation with the Chair & Vice Chair. Please note this includes fireworks or sparklers both inside & outside the premises which are strictly prohibited or any noise nuisance caused to neighbouring properties/local community.
